  1. Oh please. Yet another study extolling the health benefits of being married. It’s because with marriage you get perks and status. Period.

  2. P. S. At least the article admits that it’s support systems, not marriage per se, that may account for the alleged disparity in cardiac health between single people and marrieds. And there will of course be more studies contradicting the conclusion of this one. So what else is new. Wasn’t there a study some years ago that actually concluded that single women lived longer than everybody else?
