AtMP’s Southern California Chapter PDF Print E-mail
AtMP has a growing chapter in Southern California. Learn more about what activities they've hosted and what's coming up.

What has it done lately?

In 2007, AtMP members in Southern California celebrated Unmarried & Single Americans Week in Venice.  The gathering featured provocative talks by Nicky Grist, director of AtMP, and Bella DePaulo, author of Singled Out.   In January 2008, the chapter presented even more detailed lectures and slideshows by Bella and Nicky at the public library in Anaheim.

What will it do next?

The Southern California chapter of the Alternatives to Marriage Project will be a fun forum for

  • meeting like-minded people and sharing your thoughts about marriage and its alternatives…
  • learning more about the laws and customs that affect your rights…
  • educating others about how marital status discrimination and social pressures affect singles, unmarried couples and nontraditional families…
  • persuading business and government to end discriminatory policies…
  • and more!

How do I get involved?

To learn more about the So Cal chapter and participate in local activities and meetings, please contact Rajiv Garg at 626.644.7984 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

The chapter is organized and led by volunteers, with support from AtMP's office in New York.
