Why Should I Join AtMP? PDF Print E-mail
Dear Friend,

The Alternatives to Marriage Project is the only national nonprofit dedicated to ending discrimination against singles and unmarried relationships.  We don't bombard you with email.  We do send a thought-provoking newsletter, pack tons of useful information into our website, and push the media to expose singlism and marital status discrimination.  In 2008 we started helping you contact public officials, and together we scored our first big victorydonatenow3.gif

We do all this with only one employee and a total budget less than $50,000.  We could do so much more - if we had you on our side!  Please become a contributing member today.

Government officials are now more open to change than they have been in years.  This is the best possible time to tell them about the reality of your life.  AtMP is your megaphone.

Members like you have asked us to focus on health care.  We're committed to educating hundreds of decision-makers about why your relationship status shouldn't affect your access to health care, and how to make health care more accessible to everyone.

To do that, we must raise $5,000 by Inauguration Day, January 20th.  Generous singles, partners and families who share your views had already donated $2,765 towards this goal by December 29th.  Please join us!  AtMP is a 510c3 nonprofit organization, so contributions are tax deductible.

To say 'thank you' we'll send you a delicious dinner or dessert recipe created especially for AtMP by an unmarried chef.

With best wishes for a happy, healthy New Year,

Nicky Grist, executive director
